The fuel management evolution continues at technology specialists Triscan Systems with their latest release of software. Odyssey V1.11 contains a host of additional features which will make managing fuel costs even easier for transport professionals.

What’s Changed?

The innovative Control tower within Odyssey Web is now the application’s Home page so that users will automatically get the top level view of key fuel management issues every time they log on. Two new ‘drill down’ components have been added to simplify access to tank stock and delivery information via graphical charts – all tanks and their status can be shown at once. An ‘Alerts Pending’ widget will show the number of fuelling alerts and their specific type; the ‘drill down’ function displays the individual detail.

Managing Director Simon Hollingsworth has already had positive customer feedback on the improvements made – “V1.11 applies to both the web hosted and PC versions of Odyssey and this latest update provides customers with an enhanced view of exception reporting and crucially stock management with improvements to how stock reconciliation can be performed within the application”.

Advances to Exception Reporting

Changes have also been made to the fuel management software’s exception reporting to provide information on vehicles that have exceeded their daily and weekly fuel limit, vehicles that have drawn below the fuel limit and also where they have exceeded their maximum number of daily or weekly transactions. Transport professionals, managing and finance directors can avoid being presented with a multitude of data and reports which may not provide them with the information that they require whether it relates to average fuel stocks, fuel used and the price fluctuation as well as carbon footprint management.

Simon Hollingsworth continues “We originally launched Odyssey two and a half years ago to all sectors of the transport industry and initially this was only available in a client hosted application. Twelve months ago we introduced Odyssey Web to meet the demand for applications to be provided in a true web hosted environment, with full ISO27001 accreditation for information security – demand has been exceptional”.

How Can I Access The Upgrade?

Triscan continues to upgrade existing customers as well as welcoming new ones. Their Source to ExhaustTM approach to the market place employs what they call ‘smarter thinking technology’, meaning that clients have confidence in their ability to provide a scalable and evolving solution for both hardware and software.

The company aims to emphasise the bottom line to its prospective clients; that vehicles are costing money to run but operators more often than not, cannot pinpoint where to exercise additional management cost control at a vehicle, depot or driver level.
Odyssey version 1.11 is available to all customers from 18th October 2011.
