Kisskey

 

In today’s increasingly demanding fleet environment, it’s a simple fact that managers must do all they can to streamline working practices and improve operational efficiencies. The Triscan Kisskey system goes further than any other fuel management system to achieve these goals.

 

Designed to be used in conjunction with our Elite and Optima PC Fuel Island Controllers (FIC’s), the Kisskey system ensures that the fuelling process is simple and quick, and that data capture is accurate. Data is carried from the on-board unit to the FIC using the Kisskey, so without any manual entry the vehicle mileage, the vehicle identification and fueller ID are all transferred without error. These are added to the fuel quantity delivered, and the time and date, to form a 100% accurate record of fuelling transactions.

 

The stored transaction information is downloaded, typically once a day, to the flexible and simple to use Phoenix software, allowing accurate fuelling reports with usable MPG figures to be generated.

The system’s board device (OBD) can generate distance readings from the speedo cable, an electronic speedo, an electronic tachograph or from the output of most modern gearboxes.

Alternatively, the system can measure hours run, sometimes more appropriate for plant equipment or refuse vehicles and the like. The OBD is protected against power loss or electrical disturbances safeguarding stored date.

Sophisticated chip technology prevents the OBD from losing data should the vehicle’s battery fail.

The OBD is fully programmable using a handheld programmer. It can also be reprogrammed to change fuelling parameters if the unit is to be moved to another vehicle.

During data pick-up, a green LED shows successful transfer of data from the OBD to the Kisskey.

To prevent any ‘cheating’ of the system, a time-out period can be set. This restricts the time allowed between data pick-up on the vehicle and data download at the FIC. If the period is exceeded, data pick-up must be carried out again.

Reporting Capabilities

The Kisskey system’s impressive reporting capabilities are delivered via Triscan’s unique Phoenix software. Stock reports can be created in a number of flexible formats which can be set by the operator.
