Triscan Take The High Road
The Triscan brand has long been synonymous with fuel management technology and for over a quarter of a century a vast number of organisations have successfully controlled and managed their fuel stocks using a Triscan system. Their position as a leading IT provider to the transport sector and their commitment to customer service has recently been bolstered by the appointment of two experienced and key members of the team specifically for the Scotland and North region.
Jim Kelly − Service Engineer and Raymond Docherty − Major Account Manager have been teamed up with their Service Centre and Project Management colleagues at Head Office in Lancashire to provide consultancy and client support service both sides of the border. Jim, who is based in Fife and Raymond who operates from the Glasgow office will complement the sales and support coverage already in place in the north of England. Further business partners are in place for the Scottish team to call on if required
Since the acquisition of the Triscan brand almost a year ago the company has been implementing a number of key business changes in line with the achievement of their strategic objectives. Primarily centred on their supply chain and service delivery, these key projects have improved both the effectiveness and efficiency of the market leading firm´s operations.
Raymond Docherty comments − "In promoting and supporting our products and services across an extremely vast and complex geographical territory, we firmly believe that we are the only people to adequately deliver our improvements to our to our Scottish based customers; all of whom have an ever increasing and demanding set of requirements".
Jim Kelly, who has extensive experience in the industry is delighted to be joining Triscan at a time when a number of exciting things are happening within the business, fully supports the companies strategy − "I believe that professional organisations are more confident in dealing with a business direct in the knowledge that its staff are qualified and competent to advise on its products and their application". He continues "The recently launched Triscan Academy provides expert training both internally and externally for the software and hardware provided, allowing customers, staff and business partners alike to gain maximum understanding of Triscan´s solutions".
Triscan can offer systems to suit a variety of different organisations including local and regional government, waste management and bus companies as well as road haulage and distribution organisations.
Against the background of spiralling fuel costs and evolving technologies, the company reckons that maintaining contact and participation with industry stakeholders has never been more important and that´s why Triscan´s membership and involvement trade bodies and government allows the business to critically evaluate and understand the environment it operates in. Many of the issues that Triscans customers face, such as corporate social responsibility and fuel pricing and monitoring are directly relevant to the solutions that it provides. Triscan are also working closely with the DfT sponsored Freight Best Practice scheme, to become increasingly involved in overcoming some of the key challenges encountered across the transport sector.
Raymond Docherty has great confidence in taking up his new position and added "Both Jim and I are professionals in our own areas of expertise and we have already consulted with a number of high profile Triscan customers in Scotland with a view to assisting them further. The prospect of being able to talk to customers about new products adds substance to our approach and I am personally excited by the fact that I have joined Triscan at this time".
