Blackpool Airport
Blackpool Airport needed to ensure that refuelling was swift, efficient and that accurate cross-charges could be made to airlines using the fuel monitoring system.
Triscan Products Used
Bespoke fuel management system incorporating:
- Elite
- Odyssey
Project
Triscan introduced both hardware and software to Blackpool Airport's fuelling solutions. This is used mainly to control the AVGAS fuelling process.
The Triscan fuel monitoring system is used to relieve the workload of refuellers during busy periods, reducing queues of aircraft so that refuellers can concentrate more on the commercial side of the business (i.e. Jet2.com, Ryanair etc). The fuelling solutions incorporate a weights and measures system enabling airport based companies and tenants to fuel their own aircraft.
Client Feedback
"There are many benefits to using this fuel monitoring system as it helps to reduce the workload of the refuellers and in turn alleviate the problem of planes queuing to be fuelled, especially on commercial flights. It offers a better, quicker service to our based aircraft, tenants and customers. The key lockout functionality - which can be controlled from the PC at head office provides us with the ability to control who can refuel making the fuelling process more secure.
The reporting aspect of the fuel management system allows us to configure reports specifically for individual customers/ clubs, which can be printed in real time. A weekly report is produced by the administration and financial departments in order to reconcile AVGAS issues promptly and accurately."
