Almost 700 guests attended the recent Route One Excellence Awards ceremony at the National Motor Cycle Museum where the fuel and fleet management solutions business again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the bus and coach industry. As sponsors of the Medium Bus Operator of the Year category Triscan’s Barry McLeod was delighted to be able to present the award to Quality Line – part of Epsom Coaches Group.

Former Transport Minister Steve Norris, who still plays a very active role in promoting strategic transport initiatives, acted as compere for the evening and supported Route One magazine Editor Mike Morgan with handling the evening’s proceedings.

Triscan entertained a number of prestigious guests for the evening and watched a cabaret set featuring the very energetic and talented female string quartet – Siren. Graduates of the Royal Academy and Royal College of Music, the girls have performed with Gnarls Barkley, Simply Red’s string section, Geri Haliwell and Lesley Garret to name but a few. They have also featured on BBC1’s Later With Jools Holland.

Chris Mainwaring of Mainline Coaches commented – “The whole evening was brilliant! As well as being able to enjoy the entertainment, attending the awards gave us an opportunity to catch up with what is going on in the industry and to join in on the celebration of achievement. A great time was had by all and we would like to thank the guys at Triscan for their continued involvement as an active participant in the bus and coach industry”.

Triscan has long been associated with the sector (this is their second year as a main awards sponsor) – and their membership and engagement with the Confederation for Passenger Transport provides further evidence of direct involvement with member organisations, many of whom are long standing customers.
